[Websg Meetup] Launch of MOE Website

Hey guys,
This is a personal email. :P

The MOE website has finally been launched, after more than a year in the
works (I've been doing a million other things of course). Go check it out at

www.moe.gov.sg

It violates the more anal-retentive parts of the Web Interface Standards,
which all .gov.sg websites need comply (but don't). It exceeds the WIS in
many other areas such as semantics and accessibility.

Here's where I need your help. It has always been my intention to launch the
MOE website and use it as a paradigm to change the web scene, at least in
government organisations. The WIS (web interface standards) police have
already come knocking on my email box, asking if I will comply with stupid
things ("you need a perpetual poll asking visitors how they find the site").
I've managed to hold them off so far.

The WIS is due for a review, and I've asked to be on that committee. If you
could blog about the MOE site - what works and what doesn't - it'll help
validate it in the eyes of my <del>oppressors</del> employers, as well as
the guys in charge of the WIS.

So please take a look see, blog your pants off, and punch a hole in the
backward web2.0 world of the gahmen.

I'll do what I can from then on.

Lucian
