Malaysia formally embraces Open Document Format

Our neighbours have adopted the Open Document Format. Can Singapore move towards becoming vendor-agnostic and more user-centric? My personal opinion is that the Singapore government’s IT plans are often too vendor dependent.

Don’t even get me started on our efforts for a standard operating environment.

Adopt open standards and avoid chaining yourself to proprietary solutions.
