I remember when we used to go crazy when the word “Blog” was splashed on mainstream advertising. We’ve come a long way.
But is blogging considered mainstream here in Singapore? I still get curious stares at work when I’m revealed as a blogger. But that’s the civil service. What’s it like in the private sector? Do the Human Resource folks put on brass knuckles when dealing with blogging employees? Do we still have to stay underground?

Private sector still favours the ‘silence is golden’ rule. In such a competitive environment in a tiny red dot, who wants to share knowledge via social media?
