Opera Software's Web Standards Conference

Posted by Lucian on Friday, January 12, 2007

Opera Software, makers of the Opera Web Browser, is organising a web standards conference at Nanyang Technological University.

Details are as follows:

What: Opera Software’s Web Standards Conference
When: January 16th 4:00pm, 2007
Where: NTU Lecture Theatre 1, North Spine

I will be opening the conference with a short introduction to web standards. There will be a re-run at the Web Standards Group Meeting on the 17th.

But I’m only paving the way for the better presentation of the afternoon by Michael Smith who is a Mobile Web Access Specialist at the W3C. Don’t know about you, but I’m hoping he brings a Nintendo Wii for “testing”.

The conference is open to all, but registration is required.

Nice to hear that web standards related events are picking up in Singapore at last. ;)

PS: Dang, why do all these web standards related events only take off after I enter the army? o_O
