2 days after our first meetup, Draco asked, “what’s next?”.
I think we all know we have something really good here. Plans are underway for a second meetup, mostly via the WebSG Meetup mailing list. We’ll probably have it at the end of February, after the Chinese New Year holidays. The lineup for presentations look good. I’ll give you more info once the speakers solidify the engagement.
March is looking to be quite spectacular.
Just like last year, Vanessa will be heading to SXSW in Austin, Texas, and will be bringing you the a glimpse of the future of the web. There’s a ton of stuff at SXSW this year.
Only difference this year will be the fact I’ve left her to cover the event on her own.
Come late March I’ll be headed to Boston, Massachusetts for An Event Apart. It’ll be two solid days of web standards and best practices from an absolutely stellar cast. I hope to finish enough of the new Ministry of Education website for them to critique at the end of day two.
It’ll be fun, not to mention highly educational, watching them tear my work apart. Will it blend?
So there you have it. More web standards than you can shake your firebug at.

Any luck we’ll have a sneak preview of the aforementioned MOE site? ;-)

Not at this meetup, i’m afraid. Even having a significant portion of it ready for AEA will be quite a rush, no thanks to being in the jungle for the rest of the week.
Would love to involve you guys in a websg rip-the-site-apart session. :)

Can’t wait for the events coverage from both of you.
Two of the most interesting web conferences. Wish I can afford to be there. Hehe..
So will depend on you guys then. :)

I would love to be involved but I can’t be there, as usual. If it’s possible, how about a live site somewhere and I can share my point of view too? ;-)
